The Christian Life

The Christian life is exciting and fulfilling. It may sound a little daunting, but it isn’t really. The name “Christian” means “little Christs”. That means that we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus, the Christ. To do so, we have various disciplines (things we do) to strengthen and guide us.

The Bible is very important to us. Within it we find the teachings of Jesus (the New Testament) and how to love God and our neighbor (the Old and the New Testaments). We read them daily and reflect upon them privately and corporately. We have methods (one of the reasons we are called “Methodists”) to approach and interact with the Bible. Links to these will be provided (we are in process).

One link you can use right now is an online Bible. If you are new to the Bible it can be an overwhelming book. And there are many apps and sites you can go to and read a copy of the Bible in multiple languages. One link Pastor Bianca recommends is Bible Gateway ( ). That site has many tools to teach and increase one’s understanding of the Bible. And, it has a read aloud section if you prefer to hear the Bible read to you. Another site is Bible Hub ( ). These are two of many that are available for free to help you draw closer to the Word of God, the Bible.

Prayer is essential for us as Christians. Paul, an important person in the New Testament, instructed us to pray without ceasing (1st Thessalonians 5:17). That does not mean we sit and pray all day. It means, among other things, what we are a prayerful and mindful people. We use written and spontaneous prayers and also prayer tools. Again, links to these will be provided.

Of course, meeting with others on a regular basis helps people to grow closer to Jesus and to each other. Christians get together on Sundays usually but there are other times and other places where we gather because the Bible tells us to do so (Hebrews 10:25). You are welcome to join us any Sunday morning you can.

The Christian life is amazing! It is available to everyone and anyone. We will be adding more to this page so be sure to check here often.

God bless you bunches!
